Protection for the Season Ahead—Vaccines Available Starting October 27

As the fall season approaches, so does the risk of respiratory illnesses. The provincial government has laid out a phased plan for vaccine availability:

Week of September 22—COVID-19 vaccines begin to be available for high-risk groups.
Week of September 29—Flu vaccines begin for priority groups Ontario
October 27— Both flu and COVID-19 vaccines become more widely available, including through pharmacies and health-care providers.

High-risk and priority groups include older adults, those with underlying health conditions, residents and staff of long-term care homes, and other vulnerable populations.
