Yes! When you need support, you can have a family member, caregiver, friend, or a translator attend with you during your appointment. Your support person is welcome!
If you’ve had an initial MedsCheck appointment, you may qualify for follow-up reviews, especially if there have been changes to your medications or health status. MedsCheck is a FREE service for eligible Ontario residents - there is no charge to you. Our patient.
Pharmacists will make recommendations, but they cannot prescribe or change your medications unless they are authorized under expanded pharmacy services. They can, however, work with your doctor to optimize your medication plan.
You are eligible for In-home MedsCheck if you:

Take three or more prescription medications for a
chronic condition -
Have diabetes (even if taking fewer than three medications)

Have difficulty managing medications due to medical condition(s)

No, MedsCheck services are funded by the Ontario government and are free for eligible patients.
A MedsCheck appointment typically lasts 40–60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your medications and any questions or concerns you may have.
